งานวิจัย Development of an immunochromatographic strip test for antigen detection of elephant endotheliotropic herpesvirus in Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาชุดตรวจสำเร็จรูป (Antigen test kit; ATK) สำหรับการตรวจวินิจฉัยโรคติดเชื้อเฮอร์ปีส์ไวรัสในช้างที่ง่ายและรวดเร็ว สามารถทราบผลการตรวจจากสารคัดหลั่งต่าง ๆ ได้ภายใน 10 นาที อันจะสามารถให้การรักษาช้างที่ติดเชื้อได้อย่างทันท่วงที
