- He started working in a civil service as a veterinarian with Department Livestock Development as a field veterinary investigator in Epidemiology section of Thai-German, Regional Veterinary Diagnostic Centre in northeastern Thailand.
- He was in a civil service as a lecturer of Veterinary Public Health Division, Department of Bioscience and Veterinary Public Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University in 1995 and was appointed as an Associate Dean for Planning and Policy
- In 1998, he was appointed as a Founding Director of Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety Center for Asia Pacific (VPHCAP)

Creating the joint Master Program in Veterinary Public Health with scholarship for the international students under the collaboration with Free University of Berlin, Germany which is the first joint degree program of Chiang Mai University and its’ curriculum was accredited by EU Agency which is regarded as an academic innovation and a phenomenon of educational industry of the country.
He had a visible far-sighted visions in the preparedness for the rapidly changing situations of today's world that not only established an academic infrastructure in veterinary public health and food safety, but also plays an important role to lead the Faculty of Veterinary Science famous and known in the Asia-Pacific and international levels. The program created alumni network (92 alumni) from 15 countries, particularly in SEA.
Under the collaboration with University of Minnesota, USA, he established the double degree program in Public Health, and the world first OIE Veterinary Educational Twinning Project.
He played a leading role on OneHealth-Ecohealth of Chiang Mai University and the Country. From this achievement, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine by VPHCAP was appointed as the OIE Collaborating Centre for Veterinary Service Capacity Building in collaboration with Department of Livestock Development, the first OIE Collaborating Center in ASEAN with remarkable activities and training programs in veterinary public health to strengthen the OIE’s Performance of Veterinary Services (PVS) Pathway
Conduct an International Conference “Global Health Institute 2012” in collaboration with University of Minnesota and grant support from USAID to enhance the skills of network faculty members in One Health leadership and technical capacity and to ensure preparedness for emerging public health challenges in the region, with over 400 participants from 17 countries.
From his One Health leadership success, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University became a founding member of Thailand One Health University Network (THOHUN) and he later was appointed as Chair of South East Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) from 2015-2017 and its office was established at the CMU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
In the same time, he has developed a robust, digital One Health disease surveillance system “Digital PODD system”, that is transforming public health throughout Thailand and serving as a model to the world. PODD’s focus on engaging community volunteers for reporting on human and animal diseases is greatly enhancing the ability of local public health and livestock offices to rapidly respond to health threats with grant support over $4 million USD from Ending Pandemics (formerly Skoll Global Threats Fund) since its inception in 2014. The PODD systems was confirmed of its social impact by presented in a global academic forum (PMAC 2018), addressed in the World Bank 2018 Annual Report and the G20 Country Health Report (2019), and media presentations with global policy implications, i.e., the BBC, NHK, American PBS, Last Week Tonight (John Oliver – HBO, 2020) including receiving awards both nationally (Department of Disease Control 2017, Ministry of Digital, 2018), ASEAN level (ASEAN ICT Award, 2019) and global MIT Solve (Health security & pandemic, 2020) and the latest award TTC (2021).
